Tile work

At home we are getting a patio in the back yard. Liana asked me to keep my eyes open for cool tile work or floor design, while I am in Italy. I found a few yesterday that I thought were worth photoing for her.
This was from the Campo in Siena:

This was from somewhere else in Siena.
This was from the Duomo in Siena:
This was from a back alley in San Gimignano:
In all fairness to our builder and Liana, I think the Duomo floor shot will be the least likely to get copied. It is marble (inlaid) and we do not have the funds, nor the centuries to get that done.

We were on a walking tour of Siena for two hours, then the Comparative Law class had a presentation by a Professor at Siena University. After, we had a kick-axe lunch on the Campo. It rocked over the dinner we had at the beginning in Florence. The wine flowed like water from a fountain. I found a store that had excellent suits at very reasonable prices (florence is extremely expensive). But I had about 10 minutes of time to myself. Not enough to try on and consider the merchandise. Instead, I had gelatto.
